Today the Beijing Planetarium premiered a new play - the first of a series called "Colourful Planets" that is designed to last 3 years.
The first play is about Venus. 12 performers aged between 3 and 8 years perform the 35 minute musical daily during school holidays.
Screenwriter Huo Ying says "The theatrical story for children is a bold attempt to make astronomical knowledge available for all. Through this series of plays, we hope to help a large number of children get acquainted with this knowledge and make them, their parents and their teachers want to know more."
